Meet our Secretariat
Sachi Nandedkar
Secretary General
Hello everyone, my name is Sachi Nandedkar and I have the honor of serving as this year's Secretary General! Having spent three years in the MUN program, I can proudly say that it has given me some of the most rewarding experiences. In addition to broadening my viewpoint and helping me become a more creative person, MUN has expanded my public speaking abilities and built me some lifelong friendships. Personally, I try to be as environmentally conscious as possible and am the president of our school's Ecology and Wildlife Club. My passions for both, MUN and environmentalism, have led me to become extremely interested in the UNEP as I strive to work alongside them in the future! Outside of school I enjoy doing old lady activities like gardening, baking, and painting. I hope that MUN will also enable you to discover your true passion and I cannot wait to see all of you at WHSMUN this year!
Pranitha Rao

Hi, my name is Pranitha Rao! I’m currently a senior at Whitney High School and am serving as this year’s Executive Director of Internal Affairs. When I joined MUN as a freshman, I would have never predicted the valuable experiences the program would provide for me. MUN has given me a voice to speak about international and diverse topics, as well as introduced me to a community of passionate, innovative leaders pushing for change. The MUN program has allowed me to find my passion in environmentalism and technology, overall, shaping me into the person I am today. Janmesh Kalra
Executive Director of Conferences
Hey everyone my name is Janmesh Kalra, and I’m this year’s Executive Director of Conferences. I joined MUN as a very shy and afraid of speaking kid, but the experience completely changed me. It’s taught me how to work with others and more importantly embrace my ideas and solutions for the world. I love just studying the economies of different countries and understanding the financial aspects of our world. I honestly love ECOSOC and I have carried my passion for the economy into the stock market as well. In my free time I manage my own portfolio and like to watch NBA basketball. I hope that this year is fantastic and that everyone just has a good time in MUN!

Stella Hong
Delegate Affairs Office (DAO)
Hello! My name is Stella Hong, and I am a Degalates’ Affairs Officer. My biggest role models are mainly POC women in politics, including Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Kamala Harris. (Tell your parents to register to vote!) MUN has been an important passion of mine since freshman year, and it is surreal to see that my peers and I, who all began as the underdogs in novice committees, are now in our final year. On a happier note, my hobbies are attending political rallies (pre- Covid-19) and writing articles for local newspapers about them. Post- pandemic, however, I have been binge watching “The Office!”
Lena Pattamadilok
Delegate Affairs Office (DAO)
Hello, my name is Lena Pattamadilok, and I am currently serving as one of our DAOs! MUN has been deeply impactful in shaping who I am today, Through MUN, I discovered my passion for global affairs and the importance of open mindedness and empathy in the face of adversity. I live for studying different cultures and expanding my perspective on the world. I hope that my final year of MUN will be even more inspiring than ever. In my free time, I like to write, draw and watch Netflix. My passion for social justice has carried over into the writing of my book, which I hope to have published by the end of 2021. WHSMUN will hopefully be a blast this year!
Prince Osaji
Delegate Affairs Office (DAO)
Hello, my name is Prince Osaji, and I’m proudly serving as one of this year’s DAOs. MUN has been monumental in my life, and has given me the opportunity to deeply think and debate about issues from all around the globe. It has encouraged me to be more mindful and aware about conflicts that happen, and has been the reason for unforgettable experiences and long lasting friendships. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer and basketball. Additionally, I enjoy helping the community and doing volunteer work, and am heavily involved in my school’s Key Club. I hope that MUN has impacted, and will continue to impact, your life as much as it impacted mine, and I hope you enjoy WHSMUN 2021!
Pauline Kang
Head of Freshman Affairs
Hello, my name is Pauline Kang, and I will be serving as this year’s Head of Freshman Affairs! As a junior with two years of experience, MUN has taught me so much and brought so many unique memories as well. Not only was I able to improve in my research and presentation skills, MUN has widened my viewpoint on global issues. Before, I was completely unaware of what was going on, especially outside of our nation. Through MUN conferences, I learned to cooperate with others and also made new friends along the way. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, cooking, and playing basketball. I also enjoy volunteering and serving those in need, whether helping at food drives and blood drives in part with my school’s Red Cross Club. I am so excited to serve as Head of Freshman and I hope to make your experience in MUN wonderful this year!
Amsal Ali
Co-head of Middle School MUN
Hi, my name is Amsal and I will be serving as the Co - Head of Middle School this year. MUN has truly impacted my life. It was through MUN that I developed a new-found passion for activism. MUN allowed me to engage in a safe space, where I could preach about climate change, food insecurity, and learn about the other problems plaguing our communities. It gave me the confidence to engage in organizations such as GenUp, IAATV, and Climate Cardinals as well as an intern for Congressman Gil Cisneros, helping him with his re-election campaign. In my spare time, I enjoy playing basketball (I am a fanatic), listening to music, and spending time with my family.
Chiran Nanediri Dewage
Co-head of Middle School
Hello, my name is Chiran ND and I will be serving as this year’s co head of middle school along with Amsal Ali. I originally joined MUN because I had recognized that my public speaking skills were not on par. Additionally, at the time, MUN was a popular choice for clubs amongst the middle schoolers, so naturally, I was quite interested in it as well. However, my MUN experience in 7th grade was quite brief and was not at all what I had expected. Despite these initial doubts and complications, I came to enjoy MUN throughout the years. MUN allowed me to acquire multiple skills that are not normally explicitly taught at school; a good example being debate and people skills. I am also involved in a few other clubs at Whitney such as UNICEF and Mock Trial. I am ecstatic to be in cabinet this year and I look forward to meeting you all!
Saketh Somayajula

It has honestly been one of the best activities I’ve ever done and I have learned countless lessons from it, not only about various relevant world topics, but public speaking as well. Outside of MUN, I participate in robotics as the club’s Co-President. I really love NBA basketball, playing basketball, and video games. I really hope you guys enjoy this year in MUN, and I look forward to enhancing that experience as much as possible. Good Luck, and don’t forget to have fun!
